The Coaching Experience
-
What Coaching Is ...
A collaborative, peer style, client led, intra-developmental relationship that is built to serve the client exactly where they are in their trauma healing journey, without judgment … To support them in understanding their trauma and aftereffects, while recognizing survivors are having a normal response to an abnormal experience... To listen, affirm, celebrate strengths, and build on inner resources.
-
Who Coaching Is For ...
Trauma and abuse looks different to every human. Trauma does not discriminate. We all respond differently to trauma. Only the survivor can define what was trauma for them. Coaching is for anyone who identifies as a trauma survivor and who has recovery goals and hopes for a more authentic future. Only you know if you are ready and able to take the leap to explore the experience of being coached by a professional.

How It All Works

Get Started
The beginning step is so brave!
We start with the complimentary 30-min Discovery Call. This is an opportunity to learn about you and what you would like from coaching, so we can connect to see if we are a good match to work together.
Moving forward ..
We begin our coaching journey with a 90-min Initial Appointment (often clients use two of these to complete the intake). You’ll be emailed a Policies & Procedures and Consent Form to e-sign prior to the session. We’ll review these as well as do a short trauma history, safety risk assessment, and check in on your activities of daily living. There is ground to cover here, but we go through these protocols in a conversation style coaching session. Although this first session is a bit more formal than a regular coaching session, your safety and trust is of utmost importance. -
Coaching with Me
In our first session, we’ll discuss what coaching options might be right for you. Some clients need 1-2x weekly sessions for a while and stay ongoing with me for over a year. Some may just need a 12-session package for very specific recovery goals or a current plateau/hurdle to cross. Some may have more in-depth recovery goals and wish to schedule a 90-min every week. Some may want to just check in once a month like health maintenance.
Each session is always client led, so the recovery goals we set are a collaboration, and the choice of length and frequency of sessions is also a client decision.
For ongoing clients, the 6- or 12- session package can be used multiple times a year to stay on track with regular coaching, pay up front, pocket the discount, and schedule as desired.
